Mahapurakh Mahaan Shaheed Damdami Taksal de Pehlay Mukhi, Jathedar Baba Deep Singh Jee Shaheed gave their Head in the literal form on this day. What makes Baba Jee unique is the fact that no one in the world has been able to walk with their head in their hand. At 80 years old, Baba Deep Singh Jee not only fought heroicly, they did so with much fervour, valour and love that words alone cannot describe.
I could write pages and pages on their Jeevan, the amount of Gurbani they would recite daily, the amount of Pyaar, Shardaa and Prem they had was unfathomable. It is no wonder why Guroo Gobind Singh Jee placed Baba Jee at the head of Damdami Taksal and the Jathedar of Tarna Dal.

In 1765 the second Jathedhar of Guru Sahib's Taksal, Dhan Dhan Amar Shaheed Baba Gurbakhsh Singh Ji also fought and walked towards Guru Sahib with his head in the palm of his hand as 30 Gursikhs fought an entire Army consisting of 20,000 soldiers.
